Under Article 237 of the Polish Act of 27 April 2001 – Environmental Protection Law (Prawo ochrony środowiska, Dz. U. z 2025 r. poz. 647, as amended), where circumstances indicate a possible negative environmental impact of an installation, the environmental protection authority may, by way of a decision, require the entity operating the installation to prepare and submit an ecological review.
