QGIS plugins

Tools we use every day

QGIS plugins developed by NATURO for renewable energy projects: from noise and shadow flicker calculations, through visualisations, to downloading spatial data. They grew out of our own practice and work directly on your QGIS project layers.

WTG Noise

Noisev1.2

Noise calculations according to the updated ISO 9613-2:2024 standard with the full Annex D for wind turbines – directly on your layers in QGIS, with no separate noise software.

  • ISO 9613-2:2024
  • day / night
  • noise contours
  • receptors
  • PDF report

WTG Shadow flicker

Shadow flickerv1.11

Calculation of shadow flicker duration from wind turbines at receptors, in the “worst case” scenario according to the LAI guidelines. For each receptor the plugin compiles annual totals and a calendar of events, and creates a map of the extent of the phenomenon.

  • LAI guidelines
  • receptors
  • calendar of events
  • hours / year map
  • CSV tables

WTG Visualization

Visualisationv1.37

Visualisation of wind turbines on the map and on field photographs. It draws turbine silhouettes to scale, lets you match them to a photo or panorama, and generates a combined PDF report from the saved views.

  • silhouettes to scale
  • photos and panoramas
  • landscape impact
  • PDF report

OZE Visualization

Visualisationv0.5

Combined visualisation of wind turbines and solar PV farms on a single field photograph. The plugin enables analysis of the cumulative landscape impact of wind turbines and solar PV farms.

  • WTG + PV
  • photos and panoramas
  • landscape impact

EW plugin icon

EW

Spatial datav1.0

Downloads existing wind turbines from the BDOT10k database (GUGiK WFS service) within a given buffer around a selected layer (for example your turbines). The result is added to the project as a ready-made turbine layer together with the buffer extent.

  • BDOT10k
  • GUGiK WFS
  • SHP files

Viewshed NM(P)T

Visibilityv1.5

Determines the areas from which selected objects (including wind turbines or solar PV farms) are visible, based on the DTM, DSM and other terrain parameters. The result is a visibility layer and a layer with the number of visible objects at each location.

  • DTM + DSM
  • wind farms
  • PV
  • “count” layer
NMT plugin icon

NMT

Spatial datav1.0

Automatic download of Digital Terrain Model (NMT) sheets from GUGiK for the area of a selected layer, with an optional buffer. The sheets are merged into a single GeoTIFF file in EPSG:2180.

  • GUGiK
  • GeoTIFF
  • EPSG:2180
NMPT plugin icon

NMPT

Spatial datav1.0

Automatic download of Digital Surface Model (NMPT) sheets from GUGiK for the area of a selected layer, with an optional buffer. For each tile the plugin selects the latest available year, and saves the result as a single GeoTIFF file.

  • GUGiK
  • GeoTIFF
  • latest year
GPKG na SHP plugin icon

GPKG na SHP

Toolv1.0

Quick export of selected layers from a GeoPackage file to SHP files. You tick the layers, set the file names, and the plugin saves them in the folder of the current QGIS project.

  • GeoPackage
  • SHP
  • layer export
