Depending on your needs, we prepare the documentation or represent the client in the proceedings for the issue of an environmental decision (decision on environmental conditions). The scope of the service includes:
– preparation of a complete application for the environmental decision together with the Project Information Sheet (KIP),
– preparation of the Environmental Impact Assessment Report,
– participation in administrative proceedings, including agreeing and consulting the report with the competent public authorities,
– participation in public consultations.
Under Article 72(1) of the Polish Act of 3 October 2008 on the provision of information on the environment and its protection, public participation in environmental protection and environmental impact assessments (Dz. U. z 2026 r. poz. 670, as amended), the environmental decision must be obtained before, among others:
– a demolition permit for nuclear facilities,
– a decision on development conditions (zoning decision) under the Spatial Planning Act,
– licences for the extraction of minerals, underground storage of substances, waste or carbon dioxide, and related approvals of geological works (Geological and Mining Law),
– water permits for water regulation, construction of water facilities and extraction of stone, gravel and sand from waters (Water Law),
– approval of a land consolidation or exchange project,
– a decision to convert forest land into agricultural land,
– a permit for the implementation of a road investment,
– location decisions for railway lines, the LNG terminal, broadband networks, nuclear power facilities, transmission networks, oil sector investments, outer ports, pumped-storage power plants and other strategic investments,
– a permit to establish an airport and to implement public airport investments,
– permits for the operation of extractive waste facilities, and for the collection and treatment of waste,
– permits for the construction of a nuclear facility or a radioactive waste repository,
– permits for flood protection investments.
Under Article 72(1a) of the Act, the environmental decision must also be obtained before notifying the construction or execution of building works, or a change of use of a building or its part, under the Construction Law.
