What’s new

New versions of our QGIS plugins

Here we publish information about new versions of our QGIS plugins, with a short description of what has changed.

  • WTG Visualization 1.39 – professional PDF report and refreshed interface

    • Professional PDF report. A header with the project name, licensee and dates, page numbering, the analysis author in the footer and an option to open the report right after it is generated.
    • Safe work on your data. The plugin does not save your unsaved layer edits and clearly reports read-only layers.
    • Progress windows with a cancel option for long operations, and handling of files that are open in another program.
    • “Report a problem (diagnostic file)”. A new menu item prepares a file and an e-mail message for the plugin author.
    • Refreshed interface. Full Polish characters, window headers with the NATURO logo, remembered window sizes and compatibility with QGIS 4.
  • WTG Noise 1.5 – consistent turbine labels and problem reporting

    • Consistent turbine labels. By default, turbine labels on the report maps use the same field as the calculations, so the labels on the map and in the source tables always match. You can choose another field, but the plugin clearly warns about the mismatch.
    • Problem reporting. A new menu item, “Report a problem (diagnostic file)…”, saves a text file with the information needed for diagnosis (software versions, plugin settings, list of layers, error log) and prepares an e-mail to the author. The plugin sends nothing on its own – the user decides whether to pass the file on.
    • New report footer: “Analysis author: … Made with the NATURO – WTG Noise plugin”.
  • WTG Noise 1.3 – analysis author in the report

    • Analysis author in the report. The report dialog has a new “Analysis author” field. The name you enter appears in the footer of every page of the PDF report.
  • WTG Noise 1.2.3–1.2.6 – clear separation between editions of ISO 9613-2

    • Clear separation between editions of the standard. For calculations according to PN-ISO 9613-2:2002 (ISO 9613-2:1996), the assumptions of Annex D of the 2024 edition are not applied, and the dialog, report and result files contain no references to the 2024 edition.
    • ISO 9613-2:2024 edition: ground factor G limited to 0.5 (Annex D.4), terrain screening always with the limit from Annex D.3, valley correction (Annex D.5) always applied.
    • 2002 edition: a G value above 0.5 is highlighted in red.
    • Default source cut-off distance: 10 km.
    • Report: for the 2002 edition with a terrain model, it explains why noise contours behind hills may locally appear discontinuous.
  • WTG Shadow flicker 1.11 – faster PDF report generation

    • Faster PDF report generation: choice of map resolution (150 dpi by default), duplicate background layers skipped, generation time shown in the summary.
  • WTG Shadow flicker 1.9 – new raster map calculation engine

    • New raster map calculation engine – typically 100–250 times faster, with identical results.
